FAQ’s

  • Pilates is a whole-body workout for both the mind and body. It is low-impact, focusing on flexibility, muscular strength, coordination, and endurance. The exercises are performed with an emphasis on precision technique; balanced postural alignment; core strength; controlled, flowing movements; and using the breath to center the mind. Leaving you feeling connected to your body and most importantly will leave you feeling great.

  • ABSOLUTELY!

We have a couple of options for you t get started:

    1. Fundamental Workshops - these are run once/twice a month. These are a great way to start your Reformer journey with other beginners. Our workshops are a 75 minute class where you will learn all the fundamentals of the Reformer to set you up to join our small group classes.

    2. Private 1:1, 2:1 or 3:1. - Our private classes are also a great way to get started and get familiar with the Reformer. Have a friend, partner or family member that is also interested in trying it? Email us at hello@odysseypilates.com to book

    3. Small Group Classes - Or you can jump straight into our Odyssey Rise (Level 1 - Beginner) small group classes.

This is a slower-paced class, perfect for those new to Pilates. This session focuses on foundational movement, helping you build strength, improve balance, and enhance flexibility. Ideal for beginners, pre/post-natal clients, and those recovering from injury.

We recommend attending at least 4–6 Odyssey Rise classes before progressing to Level 2 (unless advised by the instructor), to ensure you’re confident with the Reformer and Pilates fundamentals.

There’s no pressure to move beyond Level 1—many clients choose to stay here long-term or return regularly to reinforce technique, improve body awareness, and continue building strength at their own pace.

Lay a strong foundation and grow your Pilates practice in a supportive, accessible environment.
